Quarter of an inch the other way and you would have missed completely

Poor Rian. I’m still at a loss for words after this game. I can’t imagine where I would be right now if this was an important game for the Bills. It’s been nice to care about this team again the last two weeks, but I’m still ending up laying on the floor in my living room with my head in my hands.

We’re battle-hardened here in Buffalo, but one group of people can only take so many low blows before they start to give in. It’s not so much the losing that gets you, but rather the heartbreak. Getting pounded by Green Bay wasn’t any fun, but you accepted defeat by the time it was over and went on with your day. Getting up tomorrow morning won’t be much fun and this one will take some time to get over, but inevitably, we will, and our hearts will be ready to go next week for Chicago in the Rogers Centre.

Such is the life of a Buffalo fan, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Fun fact of the day: The last time the Bills went to overtime two weeks in a row was in 2002; Weeks 1 and 2 against the Jets and Vikings. We lost the first, won the second.
