The Buffalo News
I interned as a sports reporter for the Buffalo News in summer 2012. It was awesome. Here’s a link to everything I wrote for the News. (And no, writers don’t write their own headlines.)
Update: The News redid its website this summer and some links may not be active yet. They’ve assured all content will be available at some point. Searching the entire headline in Google should bring up the story.

The Griffin Newspaper
I was the editor-in-chief of The Griffin, the newspaper of Canisius College for the 2012-13 school year (I was sports editor from 2010-12). It was an amazing experience and I am truly proud of all we accomplished.
We released a brand-new website over Christmas break: check it out at canisiusgriffin.com.
When The Buffalo News uses The Griffin as a source, that’s me. When WGR, WGRZ (Ch. 2), WIVB (Ch. 4), USCHO, the Bowling Green Sentinel-Tribune and Buffalo Rising use the school newspaper as a source, that’s me too.
This space used to read, “If you don’t Tweet, you should. These things are fun and fun is good.” That was three years ago. Things are changing. If you aren’t on Twitter now I can’t even begin to explain how behind you are. Follow @nickveronica
Bar League Softball
I’m in the 99th percentile for going hard in bar league softball. No shame in that. Here’s a plug for our league’s site (yes, there’s bunting and stealing and strikeouts). Check it out!
Canisius College hockey
I (used to) play club hockey for my college. No, it’s is not the Division I team. But girls don’t have to know that. The ACHA gives a lot of guys a chance to play competitively in college without the time commitment of D-I. http://bit.ly/cKqyfi
