Canisius held its media day Tuesday in advance of the MAAC Tournament, where the Griffs open against Siena at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Here’s what coach Jim Baron and players Billy Baron and Chris Perez had to say.

Billy Baron: “This is everything. This is why I came to Buffalo, New York.”

Chris Perez: “I want to be remembered as a champion. That’s what I’m going to remember 20 years down the road.”

Jim Baron: “Any team that you’re going to play is going to be a good team right now.”

Billy Baron was named First Team All-MAAC by the league’s coaches this week.
