Billy Baron named MAAC Player of the Year

Canisius’ Billy Baron is the 2014 MAAC Player of the Year.

The conference announced its award selections Friday night, as voted on by the coaches. Baron is third nationally in scoring at 24.4 points per game and led the Griffs to their first back-to-back 20-win seasons since 1995.

Other Canisius players to be named Player of the Year were Craig Wise in 1995 and Darrell Barley in 1996.
