SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Canisius held a businesslike interview session after defeating Siena, 71-65, Saturday to advance to the MAAC Tournament’s semifinals. Coach Jim Baron dedicated the game to former grad assistant Brian Moretti, who passed away this week at 26.

Siena coach Jimmy Patsos was full of color in defeat, saying his team would’ve rebounded better if they were wearing the same spikey high heels as a woman in the press conference (4:55).

Canisius faces Iona at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow.
