Norfolk Admirals rookie and former Canisius Golden Griffin Cory Conacher has been named to the AHL Eastern Conference All-Star team by a committee of minor league coaches.
Conacher currently leads the AHL in goals with 21 and is fourth in scoring with 41 points. He graduated from Canisius last year with 12 program records, including career marks for points (147) and goals (62).
Fans can vote players to the starting lineup starting Jan. 5 on the AHL’s website. The event takes place in Atlantic City, N.J. at the end of the month. The skills competition is at 3 p.m. on Jan. 29 and the All-Star Game is at 7 p.m. the following day.
Norfolk is the farm system for the Tampa Bay Lightning, but Conacher would need to sign an NHL contract before being called up. Complete rosters and more information can be found here.

I reallllly with five L’s want Tebow to win, but there’s no way he can put up points on the Steelers defense after Kansas City held him to three.
Here’s how the regular season standings ended up. I was tied with Jay Skurski going into the final week but some of those garbage time games killed me.
